Halley Neal is a folk-pop singer and songwriter based in Nashville, TN. Inspired by 70’s artists like Carole King and Fleetwood Mac as well as modern day singer-songwriters like Sara Bareilles and Ben Folds, Halley’s sound combines elements of a 70’s pop sound with modern folk inspired writing.
A graduate from Berklee College of Music, Halley was a finalist for “Nashville Rising Song,” a premiere songwriting competition. In 2020, Halley became an official Guild Guitars artist, and performed a set of original music at the 2021 NAMM Show with Guild.
Halley’s debut self-titled record, released on June 4th, 2021. The record includes a collaboration with artist Plot Twist and her former band, Rose & Kennedy, in an acoustic version of their song “Lover,” and another which was produced by guitarist for Zac Brown Band and former John Mayer co-writer and producer, Clay Cook. Halley’s sound blends soothing layered vocals with Americana and pop production, and is deeply rooted in an idea of reminiscence and a throwback to classic rock, all with consistent, modern folk-pop writing.
