The Telecaster came into its own in 1952, evolving from the Esquire into a controversial model known first as the Broadcaster, and later the Nocaster. This Fender Custom Shop 1952 Telecaster HS “Chicago Special” looks and feels much as it would have when Fender finally gave the guitar its legendary name, but with a Heavy Relic Faded/Aged Nocaster Blonde finish and a modernized pickup set that includes a Seymour Duncan Antiquity Humbucker in the neck, and one of our hand-wound “Chicago Special” single-coils in the bridge. Nathaniel gives it a workout, taking us from cool to hot and back again, to show off this terrific Tele’s tonal range.
