Demo of our Fractal Tone Match presets of a 90's Sovtek Mig 50 amplifier

For these presets, we have captured an Sovtek Mig 50. The result is set of presets and captures that sound exactly like our amp, and the microphones, preamps, and EQ chains that we use to record it.

The MIG-50 is essentially a Russian-made Fender Bassman. Sovtek was originally created by the founder of Electro-Harmonix, utilizing high quality Russian components. The MIG-50 sounds like a big, fat Bassman. It reminds us of the classic black-panel designs from Fender.

We’ve tone-matched the amp through a 2×12 Bogner cab with a Royer 121 and Earthworks SR25 through a stereo Neve 1073 preamp.
