Today we’re plugging into the WR-3 Wah Rocker by TWA. The Wah Rocker is a fully-realized take on one of the most underrated pedals in history: the Guyatone WR-3 Wah Rocker. The latest version takes the original two-knob box and makes it infinitely more usable across a wider range of instruments. The original Wah Rocker gave you envelope filter tones that flew in the face of traditional envelope boxes, with rubbery, intense filtering that’s instantly recognizable on record. Totally Wycked Audio's version preserves the magic of the original circuit but multiplies the knobs, moving beyond standard Threshold and Decay controls. A new Blend control lets you adjust the ratio of wet and dry signals, which allows you to preserve your original attack. The Blend control is a must-have for bass players, and careful adjustment lets you dial in just the right amount of low end to peek through the funk. You can use the Blend control in tandem with the new guitar and bass switch, which allows access to the legendary BR-2 Bottom Wah Rocker circuit to accommodate all kinds of players. A handy Range control adjusts the width of the Wah Rocker’s filter for funky narrow blips or huge slabs of dubbed-up goodness. You can dial in just the right amount of output with the new Gain control, which helps combat any perceived volume loss that envelope filters are famous for, and you can even push your amp a little while you’re at it. And just like all TWA pedals, the WR-3 is made with high quality components and S3 true bypass switching.
