If there's one thing all ikon players can agree on, it's the buttery clean boost it offers, it's the sound that has ended many a tone quest. This is due in part to the Ikon's ultra-musical buffer that adds to your tone, rather than subtracting from it. Many players use the ikon just for its buffer, as its combination of musicality and utility is second to none. Following the buffer, the signal is split into two paths, clean and dirty. The clean side is characterized by the boost and is the ikon in its rawest form, as the Gain knob introduces the dirty side as you turn it up. The Ikon's signature high-headroom nature is made possible by its clever charge pump circuit, which derives negative 9 volt and positive 18 volt power for a 27 volt rail to rail supply.
