ZZ Top "Just Got Paid" guitar lesson. Today we're using a Dunlop Germanium Fuzz Face Mini for that greasy, Billy Gibbons tone. When playing live, the necessary slide parts are in Open E, so this version combines some studio guitar parts. The main riff is actually easily to play in Open E with everything hanging in the 3rd and 5th frets. The verse uses the open E chord and then a slow slide up to D. For the chorus (G-A), you can include the slide overdub with an octave higher for some bluesier sounds. Finally, the sag in the guitar tone of Just Got Paid really can be matched when you underpower the Fuzz Face Mini with either a 'dead' 9V battery or a variable power supply.
