With a 7-ply hybrid shell built from birch and walnut, the Mapex Armory Series Exterminator snare produces balanced, round tone with focused attack and quick resonance. The fusion of these tone woods also offers players a wide tuning range and tonal spread.
Standard on all Armory snares, Mapex’s patented SONIClear bearing edge is inner cut at 45-degrees with a rounded back cut to ensure a flat plane for head replacement and increased shell-to-head contact for overtone control.
Paired with Armory tube lugs and an elegant figured wood shell, this 14-by-six-and-a-half-inch snare drum will deliver a tone as advanced as its components.
