Aura Acoustic Imaging is process in which we record an instrument (guitar) with high quality studio microphones and the undersaddle Matrix pickup at the same time. Each microphone output is compared to the pickup output using a computer algorithm which is able to identify the difference between the pickup sound and the microphone sound.
This difference becomes the image.
If a guitarist would play a dreadnought with the Matrix under saddle through an Aura unit with a dreadnought image loaded, the Aura Spectrum DI is able to recreate the sound of the high quality studio microphone with using only an undersaddle pickup.
