The M279 Deep Phase from MXR can do far more than its unassuming size might lead you to believe! This vintage sounding phase pedal comes in MXR's mini size and can easily be adjusted from a subtle effect right through to a real tonal focal point. With so much variation and MXR's legendary build quality, it's worth adding to your pedalboard and we think it'll quickly become a mainstay.
MXR has based the Deep Phase on an iconic vintage circuit which gives it an authentically rich tone. Adding texture and colour to chords and individual notes is hugely satisfying. One great new improvement is that the level stays consistent when the pedal is switched on, giving a much smoother performance.
With only two pots and one switch, there's no getting lost in option menus and wasting time. The Speed knob can be used to vary the rate of the effect and the FDBK changes the intensity and peak shapes. Enabling the Mode II switch changes the 4 phase shifter stages to 8, resulting in a much livelier sound. All you need in just 3 controls!
