In this video we'll talk about how many of these cheap 1960s student guitars such as the Harmony H14 and H15 Bobkat and Kay Vanguard K-102 have no ground wires attached to the hardware and are therefore noisier than they have to be. I'll also show you how to fix that situation, and along the way we'll talk about how sources of electromagnetic interference create invisible lines of force that can strike the single coil pickups in electric guitars and exacerbate noise issues. This is why sometimes simply turning your guitar a few degrees or changing positions can make noise go away.
