Welcome back to ProGuitarShop and ToneReport.com, today we're digging into the RP360XP from DigiTech. The next generation of multi-effects boxes has arrived, and it packs a hard punch. The RP360XP contains 167 different effects in a compact, sturdy housing along with more bells and whistles than you could ever hope for. In the effects department, DigiTech gives you 85 different stompbox selections, with everything from fuzz to ring modulation and everything in between, as well as an expression pedal to control certain parameters of each effect. There are also 55 amp models and 27 cabinet models, for over 100,000 combinations of the three. The RP360XP also has a 40-second looper with high-quality analog to digital converters for crisp reproduction, as well as a built-in chromatic tuner. 60 drum patterns are loadable for jamming, and DigiTech's Sound Check feature lets you record a short sample and store it in memory while you dial in your settings, so you're not constantly trying to strum and turn knobs. You can even edit your settings on a computer using DigiTech's Nexus software, storing and loading patches via a USB port. Connectivitity is never an issue, thanks to DigiTech's Stereo outputs for headphone cables, auxiliary inputs and standard instrument cables that feature a mode to go to either an amp or mixer. The RP360XP features a bright LCD screen for ease of navigation and is the perfect grab-and-go effects workhorse.
