This is the best way I have found to have your guitar respond evenly in both gain and tone when turning down the volume knob. Installing a treble bleed circuit on the volume pot of my guitars has become essential to their function when I play. I try to highlight what it should sound like when you get the treble bleed dialed in correctly and talk about what values work best for me. I am using a 180k resistor and a .001 uf cap wired in parallel. For the non electronic that means both the capacitor and resistor run between the left (input) and middle (output) terminal of the volume pot.
