Taylor guitars have been a major force in acoustic guitar building since the mid-70s. Founded by Bob Taylor and Kurt Listug, they are rightfully famed for incorporating computers, lasers and other modern precision manufacturing techniques to blend with traditional craftsmanship to create a new high quality for acoustic guitars.
Taylor’s affordable 100 series matches up a solid Sitka Spruce top with a layered Walnut back and sides to provide an excellent tonal platform for players unable to stretch to the cost of an all-solid guitar but still after excellent tone and playability. Taylor’s patented neck join is present on here for a lifetime of easy action and proper intonation. The nut is a slightly narrower than normal 1 11/16” to make the slim neck extremely easy to glide around on.
This model is a Grand Auditorium body shape which is a great all-purpose design that’ll do strumming and fingerstyle equally well. It’s justifiably Taylor’s most consistently popular body size. The 'ce' of the guitar's model name denotes the venetian cutaway added to facilitate easy access to upper fret playing and also the addition of Taylor's wonderful Expression System 2. This is widely recognised as being one of the greatest acoustic pickup systems available: it translates every ounce of tone, detail and dynamic from your fingertips, strings and guitar wood to give the audience an accurate and fully realistic translation of your performance.
Bang for buck is scandalous on this model! We can't believe the quality and features present on this fantastic guitar. Anyone in the market for an affordable pro-level acoustic really needs to give this their full attention.
