The Art & Lutherie Roadhouse is a parlor guitar that takes its cue from Depression-era flattops. It features a solid spruce top and laminated wild cherry back and sides and is available in Bourbon Burst, Faded Black, or Tennessee Red finish. The guitar’s high-quality electronics are Fishman Sonitone. $449 street.
LaPatrie’s Arena series nylon-string guitars come with solid spruce tops and either mahogany, wild cherry, or flamed maple back and sides. These thinline cutaway acoustic-electrics are offered with B-Band Crescent II electronics. From $499 street.
