The Head-Track™ Head and FX Loop Switcher allows you to switch two heads between one shared cabinet. It also provides switchable loops for your backend FX that would normally be routed into the FX Loops of your amp. These two features combined in the small pedal format of the Head-Track makes for a power full switching tool that effectively doubles the tonal possibilities between your two amps, OR - it serves as a seamless backup switching device that routes all of your signal chain to a second amplifier.
In this video, the pedal board FX are routed to the front end of each amp choice as the inputs are switched between each amp, while the rack mount FX are switched between the Head-Track’s loops. The opening clean section uses a vintage Maxon CS9 Chorus on the pedalboard until the doubling of the riff, while the Solo uses the Mark Five: 25 Mark IIC+ mode with an Echoplex style delay from the T.C. Electronics G-Major 2 Processor.
Recorded with a Gibson Flying V with stock humbucker pickups, into a Mini Rectifier and Mark Five: 25 heads switched via the Head-Track, into a shared 2x12 Rectifier Cab with Celestion Vintage 30 speakers. A Maxon Chorus was used in the intro and a T.C. Electronics G-Major 2 Processor was used during the solo. Mic’d with a Share SM57 and Share KSM 313 and mixed 55% SM57 to 45% KSM313.
