One of the things guitar players love about a 1959 Fender Tweed Bassman is all the control you have from the guitar. Higher gain amps don’t clean up much when you reduce the guitar volume. A clean amp just gets quieter, but vintage non master volume amps clean up beautifully just from turning down the guitar. It’s almost like channel switching from dirty to clean, but even better in my opinion. So here are some examples of that trick using a Les Paul Standard going through our ZVEX ’59 Sound.
