Grammy-winning multi-instrumentalist John Jorgenson—who has collaborated with the likes of Elton John, Bonnie Raitt, and Bob Dylan—sat down with us at Winter NAMM 2015 to show off his lightening fast guitar picking and to discuss his prototype signature Blueridge guitar.
Jorgenson is considered the preeminent American ambassador of gypsy jazz, but plays a variety of styles in his bands, the John Jorgenson Quintet, John Jorgenson Bluegrass Band, and John Jorgenson Electric Band. Listen for elements of Latin, Romanian, Greek and more world music influences. Jorgenson began his career as a co-founder of the 80s country-rock outfit, the Desert Rose Band.
