While on tour for her excellent new album Reckless Skyline, singer-songwriter Caitlin Canty stopped by the Acoustic Guitar offices to play three songs on her 1930s Recording King guitar and talk about her recent move to Nashville.
Watch Canty, joined by pedal steel and guitar player Eric Heywood (Ray LaMontagne's Pariah Dogs, Tift Merritt, The Pretenders), perform "Get Up," "I Never," and "Southern Man."
Canty also shares how she went from wanting a new Gibson J-45 to picking up a vintage Recording King and falling in love with the way it complements her vocal range.
"This guitar inspired a lot of the songs," says Canty, referring to her new album. "It felt like co-writes."
