Earlier this summer, fender.com paid a visit to the School of Rock in Scottsdale, Ariz. to spend some time with several of the students and learn about their journey on guitar.

One of the kids we caught up with was eleven-year-old Dean, who started playing the instrument when he was just 6.

"One day I just listened to a few Beatles songs and I heard the guitar part and I was just amazed and became fascinated with the guitar," he explained.

Dean convinced his dad to get him a guitar and soon began taking lessons, and now even has his own band — a trio called Don't Tell Mom.

In this clip, Dean talks more about performing live and plays a few of his favorite tunes.
