Regular viewers to the Peach Guitars channel will know all about our love for all things Fender Custom Shop. In recent years, the demand for hand-finished, premium-grade 'Master Built' guitars has sky-rocketed, seeing waiting lists for certain builders grow from weeks, to months, to multiple years! We say it's worth the wait for the instrument of your dreams, but the good news is that the FCS doesn't like to rest on its substantial laurels - they're always seeking to bring new talent on board, to tackle the rampant demand for Fender's historic designs, and to do so in their own personable and unique ways.
One of the most recent additions to FCS' Master Builder rankings is Vincent Van Trigt - a unique talent, whose first love of bass guitars has already earned him title of the 4-string King! Our interview with him at NAMM 2020 revealed his passion for doing things the old-fashioned way: sticking to the principle of classic Fender designs, re-creating the subtleties of the 1950s and 1960s in an honest, heartfelt manner. However, the devil is in the details, and the under-the-hood specs are often tweaked to the demands of the modern guitar player, though not in a way that upsets the classic visuals. It's the way these details manifest that sets the Master Builders apart, so how does Mr. Van Trigt deliver his signature to a 6-string?
Well, in today's video, Jack is excited to offer up some first impressions of the first of Vincent's 6-strings we've had the fortune of receiving. As well as sounding every bit the classic 50s Strat, this particular guitar's unique aesthetic and heavy relic design shows the workings of a man, not afraid to honour tradition, and equally eager to challenge the player to dig in and explore! Relic-haters, look away now, this guitar is in your face and proud!
