I love to see great audio equipment and COMICA Audio contacted me about their LinkFlex AD5 battery and mains driven audio interface.

Intrigued, I accepted their offer and I'm glad I did. Finding a small portable battery audio interface is no mean feat, although they are out there if you look hard.

Of course, audio interfaces can be a 'make or break' affair depending on what you are going to record or stream.

Today, there is a plethora of companies making interfaces, but I was impressed by all of the various uses that the LinkFlex AD5 can be used for, such as: streaming, video audio, direct to PC audio recording, camera audio recording, instrument interface (with switchable instrument or line), ability to stream to mobile phone AND PC at the same time and much more.

In this video I run through the whole thing, from unboxing, what you get, the hardware, the I/O, the screen, in use, summing up and even give this audio interface a Tony score!

COMICA Audio have produced a logically intuitive, well laid out, user friendly quality piece of equipment of that there is no doubt. And somehow, looking around the market for a mobile interface that is battery powered as well as mains powered (via USB) confirms just how scarce these types of units are. It seems to me that COMICA Audio have developed a very comprehensive and useful device for so many sectors and applications that this interface is almost guaranteed to do well.

I have spent considerable time creating this video and note that the AD5 was sent to me for review without cost. However, this completely personal overview and review is entirely my own opinion without input from COMICA Audio. The video is a reflection of my experience to date of reviewing the audio interface close up and personal.
