Day 11 of the Tones For Tache campaign in support of Movember 2014. For more on Movember, please go here http://uk.movember.com/
Get ready for this achingly cool yet affordable Antigua burst baritone!
This new Squier was in on review at sister mag Total Guitar, so Mick couldn’t resist borrowing it for Tones For Tache. It’s tuned A to A over a 30-inch scale, which returns some lovely deep tones for single notes or chords. Or both!
These Tones For Tache have Mick playing two guitar parts recorded separately. The rhythm part is played through a Marshall JTM45 and treated to TC Electronic Hall Of Fame Reverb (on the ‘mod’ setting), TC Flashback Mini Delay and a Mooer Trelicopter tremolo.
The lead part has no tremolo, but additional drive from a Keeley-modded Ibanez TS-808 Tube Screamer and a Free The Tone Red Jasper overdrive, also through the JTM45.
