In addition to having released his Fuzz-Stang a few years ago, Matt Wright is an experienced guitar repairman in Portland, OR and has seen a fair amount of my own guitars on his bench.
The WrightSounds Trammello is an All-Star tremolo effect that covers all the bases from classic amp style sway to the precise waveforms found in synthesizers. To make the Trammello in a league of its own, a VCA based tremolo circuit is used, which unlike a 60s tube amp, has less tone loss and allows more precise amplitude modulation that can morph shape, not to mention reach blazing speeds.
4 musical waveforms: Spike, Swell, Square and Pulse give a more logarithmic offering as opposed to common sine or triangle shapes. To further shape the intensity and output of the effect is a clever Offset control. This sets the initial level or threshold of the input signal and is very interactive with the Depth control. With just these two controls you can really shape the on/off ratio to suit your playing style and sonic vision. The WrightSounds Trammello also uses an input buffer to keep the sound above unity when on and is all analog, requiring a standard 9v power supply.
