Today we're taking another look at the fantastic 1938 Martin D-18 we currently have in the shop! A beautiful pre-war instrument fully restored by TJ Thompson, this guitar is an absolute cannon - loud, warm, and wonderfully balanced in sound. It has all of the classic features you'd expect from this era of Martin including forward-shifted scalloped x-bracing, an Adirondack spruce top, mahogany back/sides, a c-shaped neck with a very subtle v-profile, and of course that classic and perfect Martin sound. We had Taylor Nauta in the shop today, a fantastically talented player from Louisiana, and figured he'd be perfect to show off a couple of really great acoustics, this being one of them!
