We want to see just how inventive you are. Do you use Helix in unusual ways to make music or soundscapes? Like, say, creating wild signal chains that wouldn’t be practical or even possible with conventional effects boxes? Or, using the Mic input to capture and process unusual instruments or audio sources?
If so, we’d love to see what you get up to—and hopefully your music and ideas will also inspire others to think “inside” the box. Just shoot a short video showing us what you’ve done and post it in the comments below, or upload it to your Instagram account tagging @official_line6 and using the hashtag #HelixCreativity. We’ll share our favorites on the Line 6 social channels.
Our own Paul Hindmarsh kicks things off with a piece he calls “Cannibal.” Paul connected the Helix outputs to effects returns to generate feedback loops, then used effects to create fun sounds and rhythms—all without any instruments! Next, he plugged a mic into the Mic input and captured the sound of the Helix chassis being played as a percussion instrument.
