The new 'SPECHO' preset on the TC Electronic Alter Ego X4 was modeled on PGS's own vintage Roland RE-301 Space Echo. With help from TC's cutting edge software, we were able to accurately replicate this classic tape delay's warm, gritty repeats and organic response, as well as the silky, three-dimensional chorus that makes this vintage echo so unique and highly sought after. Of course, the Alter Ego X4 has more than a few advantages over the original Space Echo, including tap tempo with subdivisions, for quarter, dotted eighth, or dual delays, midi control, and expression pedal compatibility that allows you to control delay time, delay level, and feedback on the fly.
