I've been fussing with my GGG fuzz face for about a week now to try and get it set up just right. I tried a whole boatload of transistors. I only have silicon for now. I had some from a previous fuzz face that wasn't so hot, I bought some BC109's from pedal parts plus, and I had a pack of cheap si trannies from radioshack. I matched up a good pair that had just the right amount of spank and clean up with the volume knob rolled back. Tweaking the internal bias trimpot helped a lot too. Its magical now!
