I've had several comments now about what I mean when I've talked about how I "play around the chord" instead of playing a straight up scale when I solo. In this video, I'll explain a bit about how to do it, and what's going on in my noggin when I do it.

I also take a different approach to mic'ing the amp. If you're actually reading this description, I'd love to hear your thoughts on whether you like this technique better/worse than what we normally do.
