The Orangutan from 3 Monkeys Amps merges brilliance in tonality with unique aesthetics, forging the 3 Monkeys brand into the upper echelon of the amp designers. Based in 70's rock tones but with a hugely flexible pallet of sounds at your disposal, this amp excels in any situation be it studio or stage. Whether you want vintage tube drive or pristine cleans, the 6-way "Voice" switch will get you there by changing the gain structure, tone, and headroom with each position. Interactivity with the volume gives you endless choices especially with the aid of the Orangutan's treble cut and global bass control. Plus you can "Lift" the bass knob and the resulting bypassed circuit increases overall clarity and gain (footswitchable). The 3 Monkeys Orangutan has a fine tuned spring reverb that adds "Room" to your tone without extra signal noise or wash out. With 4 6V6 tubes for the output section and 3 x 12AX7's for the preamp, this amp pushes 30 to 35 watts clean through a Warehouse Guitar Speaker specially designed for this combo. Other features include custom wound transformers designed specifically for 3 Monkeys Amps, a crushed glass faceplate and a solid birch ply tapered cabinet. All 3 Monkeys amps are hand built in Raleigh, NC.
