Guitar demo of the lush and liquid Adineko Oil Can Delay by Catalinbread.
The Adineko is a digital emulation of the legendary Tel-Ray Oil Can Delay that became famous for its lush ambience and murky vibrato, which created a delay tone unlike anything else at the time. As with anything by Catalinbread, the Adineko totally nails the tone it seeks to emulate, but it also does so much more. With the Timing and Balance knob you can go way beyond the short slapback limitations of the original units and actually get long interstellar repeats that dance and sway across the air waves. This makes the Adineko equally great for groovy slapback tones as well as long, stretchy ambient compositions.
Gear used:
Squier Classic Vibe Strat (Simon Neill Signature)
Fairfield Circuitry Accountant Compressor
Catalinbread Adineko
TCE Ditto Looper Gold
