In our next instalment of our Tale of Two Tones series, we thought we should pay some attention to a slightly more contemporary player, Jack White.
King of the neo-retro tone, Jack White has all but conquered the guitar and music world, from The White Stripes to The Raconteurs from James Bond to The Great Gatsby, even famously playing the Jay-Z song 99 Problems, you'd be hard pushed not to know THE Jack White tone.
In this video Jack breaks down his interpretation of how Jack White's tone changed from being in a 2 piece band in The White Stripes to being with a full band with The Raconteurs and into his solo work. His rigs are ever changing and are quite hard to pin down for certain however, this series is all about the feel and being inspired by the tone.
Make sure to check out the gear used in the links below. We'd love to hear what you think and which of Jack Whites tones was your favourite, as well as who you would like to see next in our Tale of Two Tones series!
