Most owners of Gibson guitars and Gibson like guitars will tell you that the D and G strings don't stay in tune. I have heard the question asked numerous times. "Why does my Les Paul go out of tune so easy? Why won't my guitar stay in tune? How can I keep my guitar in tune? Usually these questions are asked by owners of Gibsons and Epiphones. I am not saying they are bad guitar, but they definitely have tuning problems.
There are several reasons for this including; the angle of the string from the nut to the tuner, a cheap nut, the nut being to thick and the angle of the headstock. Why Gibson did not change their design years ago is beyond me, but in this video I will show you why I think Gibson guitars have tuning issues and problems. This applies to Les Paul, SG, ES 335, and to some extent Epiphone as well.
