Welcome back to ProGuitarShop.com where we're showcasing the unique tones of the TR Organ preset on the TC Electronic Alter Ego X4. We based this preset directly off a rare Tel-Ray Super Organ Tone from the late 60's, a rare effect known as ‘oil can delay’. Literally using a can of oil hooked up to a fast Leslie type motor, the sound it produces is not only watery and warm but full of musical vibrato. The TC Electronic Alter Ego X4 can obviously go beyond the single delay time of this vintage unit but we wanted the vintage tone to be easily accessed, so placing the delay, feedback and level at noon will instantly take you back in time.
Of course, you can experiment with the TR Organ preset in the Alter Ego X4’s 40 second Looper mode and use the expression pedal input to switch from short to longer delay times on the fly. Plus, you can create 3 presets from any of the 12 completely new modes or load up to 4 of your favorite TonePrints from TC Electronic's ever expanding library.
