Welcome to ProGuitarShop and ToneReport.com. Today we've reached the Pinnacle v2 from Wampler Pedals. There aren't many pedalsmiths out there more celebrated than Brian Wampler, and the Pinnacle is one of his most respected designs. The Pinnacle Deluxe v2 is the weapon of choice for players with discerning dirt tastes, from light bedroom crunch through '80s hard rock and into amp-melting modern high gain. Not one to leave well enough alone, Wampler's new Pinnacle Deluxe v2 adds a host of new features, starting with a more compact circuit for a lower noise floor. You might notice that the newest Pinnacle gets rid of the old single Tone control and adds a three-band EQ in its place. Wampler's signature EQ is totally unique and lends an extremely powerful boost or cut of their respective bands for a more amp-like experience. The Boost circuit has been completely overhauled with a level knob, and is independently footswitchable for an extended gain range. The Pinnacle Deluxe v2 is voiced to sound just like a redlined amp, so there is some inherent tube-like sag, but the new Sag switch removes this feature when engaged, tightening up the entire gain structure by removing the saggy crunch, essentially transforming the Pinnacle Deluxe V2 into a whole new pedal. The Vintage/Modern switch has been carried over and provides a two-channel effect that ranges from warm and chewy to vicious and biting. And just like all Wampler pedals, the Pinnacle Deluxe V2 is made right here in the states with the finest parts money can buy.
