A bold, new addition to the Taylor line, the Taylor Guitars GT Urban Ash introduces a brand new body shape, the Grand Theater, in a fun, easy-to-play all solid-wood guitar.
Inspired to improve upon the best-selling GS Mini, the GT Urban Ash is a brand new guitar design from Andy Powers, fundamentally re-thought from the ground up. Featuring fresh new body and neck dimensions, new C-Class bracing, and all solid-wood construction, GT Urban Ash offers all the playing comfort of a small-bodied guitar with full, large-bodied sound.
GT Urban Ash pairs a solid spruce top with Shamel ash back and sides. Sourced from municipalities of Southern California, the Shamel Ash recalls the tonal properties of Honduran mahogany, delivering a rich and warm sound. The fretboard introduces eucalyptus, a new sustainably sourced tonewood that offers similar feel and performance to ebony.
Inspired by their revolutionary V-Class bracing, the new C-Class bracing featured a cantilevered design that delivers plenty of structural stability and solid intonation while offering the volume and sustain and intonation of a much larger instrument.
