Today we have our good friend David Wheaton in the house, and David has recently become somewhat of a tape echo junkie - after purchasing a pristine and recently serviced Roland RE-201 from us, he dove into the rabbit hole of potential maintenance servicing, and discovered an Australian company that we aren't even familiar with, Echo Fix. They primarily specialize in repair and service of RE-201 and RE-301 units, but over the last few years have been developing their own tape echo unit, which they call the Echo Fix EF-X2! David recently accepted delivery of a EF-X2, so we figured we could do a little fun and very un-scientific shootout of the two since they're readily available to us!
