The VFE Merman Overdrive Pedal is a really great overdrive based on the cult classic Klon Overdrive. VFE not only made the pedal smaller but they also added some extra functionality to extend the pedals options including three extra smaller tone pots including Warmth, Bottom, and Compression controls. These allow you to get back the low end usually lost by a regular Klon KTR and to also give you more variety. The Compression control works best when the gain is up high and the smaller pots work in reverse so the further left they are the warmer the tone/low end is.
This is a really fantastic pedal by VFE. The build quality is second to none and the design and unique features make this stand out from an ocean full of average clones. Check them out!
