The JHS Alpine Reverb began life as the Sky Pedals Cloud9, a reverb pedal widely known for its lush tones and versatility. After acquiring the Sky Pedals company when owner Jim Coleman decided to move on from the effects business, JHS immediately set about redesigning the Cloud9, retaining its core tone and features, while adding even more function and flexibility to create the new JHS Alpine Reverb. The Alpine does everything from classic Spring tones to spacious, ambient washes, and it has been designed for supreme ease of use. Standard controls include Reverb level, Depth, Length, and Highs, which is a tone circuit for controlling high-frequency content. Its Shift knob functions as a secondary Reverb control, and is engaged with the pedal's dedicated Shift footswitch, giving the player an alternate, preset reverb tone that can be accessed on the fly. With a TRS splitter cable you can make use of the Alpine's effects loop for expanded sonic sculpting with other effects pedals, like inserting an octave effect for shimmer, or a delay for a truly larger-than-life ambience. An internal switch lets you access the effects loop as well when the Shift button is engaged, allowing for drastic preset changes. The JHS Alpine uses a premium buffered bypass and top-shelf components, and is made with love in Kansas City, Missouri.
