Today we've chosen a beautiful ebony finish 1986 Gibson Les Paul Standard, with a few upgrades! This one is a fantastic player with a comfortable medium-C profile, and minimal play wear for its age. The upgrades include a TonePros bridge and tailpiece, and boutique Suhr Doug Aldrich pickups. Everything else is stock and in top-notch condition! The amp we're running today is a killer 2016 Carol-Ann HB-18WH head, which is modeled after a 1967 18w Marshall owned by Alan Philips (the owner and builder of Carol-Ann Amps), with just a few minor circuit updates and tweaks for an optimal tone. It is an incredibly lightweight powerhouse amp with great tone, that paired up quite nice with the white Port City Wave 1x12 cabinet that we have in the shop. We plugged it all in and handed it off to Dan Phelps for the demo!
