One of only 211 "Spotlight Special" Les Paul Guitars. This super near mint example weighs just 9.40 lbs. and has two patent number 'Zebra' humbuckers. Solid mahogany body with two-piece figured maple top with a central walnut block, three-piece mahogany neck, rosewood fretboard. Nashville-style Tune-O-Matic bridge and separate stud tailpiece. Original Gibson five-latch black hardshell case with black plush lining. Walter Carter, former historian for Gibson, notes that Gibsons records indicate Spotlight Special serial numbers up to 211, so it was indeed a highly limited edition.
