Continuing with recording songs and bands that inspired me when I was a kid, this song and album (Faith Hope Love by King's X) had probably the single biggest influence. I could pick a bunch of songs from this album and other early King's X tracks, so maybe I'll do one or two more after this.
I don't know the outro solo, I just figured out a bit of it today to get it started and then I improvise through to the end. In order to keep from stepping all over the original track's AWESOME solo, I gradually fade out the background track (ha, maybe I should have faded out my solo!).
Gear wise, this was the Egnater Rebel 20 along with a Mesa/Boogie 2x12, T-Rex Moller Overdrive pedal used as a boost, t.c.electronic Hall of Fame Reverb and an MXR Carbon Copy delay on the leads. No post processing was performed .. this is the exact signal taken from the Shure SM-57 and MXL V69 microphones placed close to the cab. And once again, my trusty canary yellow frankenstrat with the telecaster neck and Kinman pickups.
