Welcome to the show. There has been a resurgence in valve-equipped overdrive pedals in recent years. And we don’t mean dedicated preamps – we mean actual, pedalboard-friendly, into-the-front-of-the-amp overdrive pedals.
Regular viewers will know that Dan and I currently have such beasts on our own personal boards, and that a recent guest and dear friend – Mr Chris Buck - has one on his too. What better excuse then to fire up the heaters and start dissipating some voltage? Tube-y or not tube-y… erm, we’ve made that gag before.
