Atlas Genius frontman Keith Jeffery finds songwriting inspiration in many different ways.
"I have a list of thousands of lyric ideas and song titles. It might start there, or with a guitar riff, or a synth riff, or a drum beat that Michael [Jeffery, drummer] will play," Jeffery said.
In this edition of Soundcheck, Jeffery talks about this process and why he thinks his band's has a penchant for writing "sad songs you can dance to."
