After being sealed with an undercoat, an American Standard body is sanded and then taken to the “paint room,” where color is applied by hand to guarantee a striking and consistent look. Here, a classic 3-Color Sunburst finish is applied to a Stratocaster body before being sanded again, finished with a clear topcoat and buffed for added sheen.
