"I love staring into the skies and playing music, it helps my mind ascend into a very calm and creative place. One evening in the Winter of 2017 I was doing just that and was stirred up by the particularly unique and beautiful colors and clouds to welcome the afterglow. As I was playing a sort of tremolo pattern I saw two mallards flying very high in the sky over my head. I noticed the tips of their wings seeming to dance and flutter to the rhythm of the tremolo I was playing. With the two sets of wings I could swear it was matching up perfectly with my guitar in a sort of
"1 e & a" pattern... I was stirred to chills. In that moment, my mind had transcended the feeling of being alone that often greets me later in the evenings, and I felt a sense of being a part of everything around me. Just as I, a creature who decided to pick up a guitar and make music play a small roll in life, so does everything here on this earth, and the fascinating part about it is that I believe we are all playing some grand symphony together called life, even when we feel the most alone! All we must do is look around and realize that we are here and that we are tied into every fiber of each moment. The Mallard tells the story of how I felt that evening."
