The all-black 2019 Gibson Explorer B-2 has a mahogany body and black chrome hardware. It features an aluminum Nashville Tune-O-Matic bridge and aluminum stopbar.
The Explorer B-2 owes its sound to a Dirty Fingers+ Rhythm pickup (neck) and a Dirty Fingers+ Lead pickup (bridge). These pickups are controlled by single volume and tone black top hat knobs and a toggle switch.
Moving up the guitar, the Explorer B-2 features a fast and comfortable slim taper mahogany neck. It has a rosewood fingerboard with . acrylic dot inlays. Moving up the neck we find a 1.695” width Tektoid nut and a headstock adorned with Grover Mini tuners.
