The 2019 Firebird Tribute has the same hardware as the 2019 Firebird. It has an aluminum Nashville Tune-O-Matic bridge and aluminum stopbar tailpiece. It also features black top hat control knobs with silver reflectors. Like the Firebird, the Firebird Tribute has Firebird Mini Humbuckers.
So, how are the two models different? First, the Firebird Tribute features a set-neck as compared to the the neck-through-body construction found on the Firebird model. This key difference results in different cosmetics, different weight distribution and a different sustain quality. Taking a closer look we see two different neck woods. Whereas the Firebird features a 9-ply mahogany/walnut neck, the Firebird Tribute features an all-mahogany neck. Both necks feature a slim taper profile, however the Firebird Tribute has no binding and the inlays are acrylic dots, as compared to acrylic trapezoids on the Firebird.
