Today James Anaya chose this gorgeous 1935 Gibson Roy Smeck Stage De Luxe for his Pick Of The Day. Originally a Hawaiian style square-neck guitar, this one has been converted to be played as a traditional Spanish guitar. The neck was shaved down to a nice V-profile, with a pro refret and replaced tuners. This guitar now plays wonderfully and features a 2″ wide nut that fingerpickers and slide players will adore. The jumbo 12-fret body delivers a huge sound with a lovely midrange quality and warm woody resonance. The Roy Smeck models are a gem in the pre-war Gibson flattop lineup! Includes hardshell case.
