Our annual Spring Cleaning Event took place at Chicago Music Exchange. It was a great opportunity for musicians to bring in their vintage guitars, used pedals, drums and more to sell for cash. The weather was perfect, the crowd was wonderful and it was an exciting way to kick off the spring/summer music season here in Chicago.
Jen owner of Souldier Straps brought her full lineup of straps to the event, all of which you can find on our website here: http://goo.gl/B2Mw0w
For the past 20 years, used and vintage gear has been a huge part of our brand and business; it remains one of the most important distinctions between us and other music stores. Because of this, we are always interested in buying unique used and vintage gear from our customers. That's what this event highlights every year, and 2014 was no different. We appraised and purchased some excellent used and vintage gear. For items we couldn't 'make a deal' on, customers were able to list right there on Reverb.com with the assistance of Reverb experts and professional photographers.
The 2014 Spring Cleaning event was also an opportunity to host a unique event that was enjoyed by members of the community, whether or not they were musicians. For several hours, La Adelita Food Truck was set up right out front for customers and passersby to enjoy delicious tacos. At 3pm Joel Paterson & the Modern Sounds performed in the Chicago Music Exchange showroom. Modern Sounds is a rhythm trio that plays a combo of country blues, classic jazz, and vintage rockabilly.
