Hot Rod Mini part 1 - Drilling new tuner holes?

This is a Squier Mini I bought to learn a little more about guitar customization and set up. I'm beginning by replacing the garbage 'Economy' tuners. I had to work out what size the tuner shaft was, (9.75mm) and then what size drill bit to buy for this size tuner. Turns out to be (25/64) or (9.92mm). I'm just trying a test hole here. I still have to work out a safe way to do this to all the tuner holes without making a huge mess.
